How does the electric speedo work on the gtir, and how wud it differ to a cable operated speedo. I understand there is a speed input/output to/from the ECU on the gtir.
The reason I ask is that I have been informed my import GTI has the same pin outs as the SR20DET (mine SR18DE) but mine doesnt have the speed wire only a rev wire. And obviously mine is cable operated.
And I have an Apexi Rev speed meter with G-force meter, and its looks like some of the features like 0-60 times and q-mile distance times aint gonna work unless the G-force meter plays a larger role.
And my clocks are identical to the R's, albiet mine are still in KPH and the speedo goes to 180 KPH, but all the instruments are the same, so could I fit the lecky clocks and fit whateva needs to be fitted to the ECU to gain the electric speedo function.
