Looking on autodata to check which terminal wire on the ECU is for the speed limiter, the only which it seems to be is terminal no.32, 'vehicle speed sensor'. can anyone confirm this so i can cut the damn thing!!

If you cut that wire it may cause other problems. Cars that seem to have speed cut faults that are not the normal 112 are often due to no signal from this pin. Best bet is to de-limit the ecu or use a speedo KPH-MPH converter.

You can buy a delimitter. 4 or 6 wire that gets wired in behind the speedo cluster. I fitted one last year and it works fine. converts KPH to MPH, delimits speed and ups the revs. Not sure if I got the "how to guide" off this site ore some other but it was an easy job.

It wont up the revs. That will remain the same, but the speed limit will be altered from 112 mph to 180mph, and the speedo will read as you said mph.
