Location of EGT

Hello just wondering is there a science to choosing the location for a EGT sensor?

Is Turbo elbow better than say the Cat end of the Front pipe?

Yep, you want it in the part of the exhaust that gets the hottest. I think this is normally the runner for pot 1 as, that's the furthest away for the fuel to get to ?!

I've stuck mine in the elbow though as, you're only really looking for sharp increases or decreases in exhaust gas temp. But, the closer to the exhaust source, the better !
