Matrix pipes

Are you bypassing the matrix? they are linked anyway via the matrix just you will get no heat.
And may cause it to run a little warm depending on use

Yeah it will be fine,as said its linked anyway when the heater is set on hot.

I am also doing this and am actually hoping it will improve the cooling, there will obviously be the loss of abit of volume but the fact is when the heater is set on cold a valve in the matrix closes and stops the flow anyway.

Then when you read the threads about the lack of head cooling due to the design, and look at the way it works it makes sence to me to link them and bypass the matrix?

Its not that the volume of water is really lost either if you are running an uprated rad.

I'm totally redoing the water pipes. Scrapping all of the silicone hoses etc and what's not needed as its a mess under there
