maybe a stuuuupid question but (cv joints)

nice clunk lately - and ive had a good feel of both cv's when on the ground
I can push & pull both cv's about 10-15 mm in & out
i take it there shouldn't be any play what soever?
Is this right

erm no not really only way is to remove the rubber boot's rotate/swivel the joint itself, should be nice and stiff if floppy it's shagged.

This could also be the cause of other things being worn etc, have you had a look at the steering rack, wheel bearings, anti roll bar bushes and other suspension bushes etc??

yeah Ant, all bushes, bearings,trackrod ends & ball joints are brand new - only things left that aren't new are the cv's :roll:
better be them as ive ordered 2 & they're gettin fixed in the morning
