mph converted R's

Hi all

I noticed in a picture of an R's dash the speedo appeared to only run to about 110mph before it disapeared off the bottom.

What do most mph R's read up too on the speedo?

I went in one a few weeks back thats speedo looked rather different and ran up to 180mph or something silly :twisted:

my new one has uk clocks and goes to 150

My speedo only goes upto 110. Does any1 know what i need to do to get it running the 180mph ones?

The 180mph speedo faces are the standard Jap speedo faces, just converted into MPH.

So how comes some go to 180 while others go to 110

who the heck is only ever gonna go to 110 in a GTI-R? :lol:

I'm sure every owner at some point would like to see what it could really do.

Well the car I looked at last night and put a desposit down on goes to 180mph on the dash :twisted:

How do you recalibrate the speed from mph to kph?

KPH to MPH is divide by 3 times by 2

Changing the face of the clock to 110mph is a cheap way to convert the car from kph to mph.

you buy a small black box that gets wired into the back of the dash, three wires to connect up and hey presto your 180 kph is now 180 mph
then put a sticker over kph to make it read mph. Job done.

Ps the black box is cheaper than changing the face.

I had a GREDDY speed de-limiter and MPH converter put on mine.

The speedo shows 180 MPH

Very accurate too.

90 mph on my speedo is also 90 mph on my road angel GPS system.

It's accurate right through the speedo range.
I'm pretty impressed with that as my VR6 is 5 mph out at 90.
