hi, i just finished fitting my new front mounted intercooler.
it is all a custom job, using an evo VIII intrercooler and 60mm stainless steel piping and silicon connectors.
i would like to add some pics...but i don't know how to post them...

thanks for posting the pics.
the cold air box is custom made too...inside there is a big cone filter and an 80mm cold air duct.

the intercooler kit cost me approx 300£!!!!
i got the intercooler in the usa on ebay...it was like new, with no damage at all, only done 1500miles.

i bought 2 silicon 90° samco elbows from demon tweeks, mandrel bent piping from my local exhaust shop, and silicon connectors from ebay too.

i am still running low boost at the moment, but will raise it to 1,2 bar with 550 cc injectors and chipped ecu.

ii did not notice any increase in turbo lag.
i am happy with it!

that look like a top job got any pic of the pipe run when it was not on the car ?+ any info on how ya made the pipe work ?

sorry no pics of piperun when not on the car...
the pipework is made from 60mm mandrel bent stainless steel.
i used 3x45° elbows and 3x90°elbows and straight silicon connectors to join them.
i also used 2 x90° samcc silicon hoses(they are fit on the cooler...you can see them from the bumper)
that is all!
the piperun is very nice and turbo lag is as it has always been.
any increase in lag.

thats some nice pipe work where did u cut the body to fit to put the pipe work down to the cooler?

i have to cut near the water radiator....laterally on both sides

is the intercooler upside down from where it site on a evo ??
you got any info on how you did the air box mate they both look top jobs to me ! great :wink:

yes the cooler is upside down...
i did the airbox 4 years ago...
you will have to move battery on the boot!then it is an easy job.
i can take more pics of it if intrested...
