new cluutch fitted , how many miles for it to wear in?????

How many miles shold I drive my car slowly before I can drive fast and put some load on my new clutch I also got a new flywheel ( fidanza)?


Seems like a dumb question but please answer :oops:

I got told that you dont really need to run it in that much just dont do any standing starts etc for a few miles or so. Shouldn't take too long, say a good 100 miles or maybe just leave for a tank of fuel so that the first skin is taken off the clutch pads. Goodluck.

I wasn't aware of any running in period as such, but the only time I've fitted a new clutch to one of my old cars, it did slip slightly for a couple of days until it had time to bed in (but that was straight onto the old flywheel)

Still waiting on some shims!
Organic clutches you are fine out the box...

With Ceramic Paddle Clutches i would give it a few hundred miles for it to settle in before you go launching it...
