Nismo Transfer Case LSD Install

Hello everyone. I've been doing some research. There is conflicting information being posted up so I'm not sure what is what.

For the NISMO LSD that goes in the transfer case do you need a special driveshaft? I've read some posts that say no you don't and some posts that yes a special driveshaft is needed.

If anybody has installed one of these please let me know. I appreciate it.

Doesn't it just replace the open differential that's normally there? I would have thought that the Nismo one requires less messing about to install it than another manufacturer... but what do I know about it? Nothing.

special driveshaft is only needed for the REAR nismo lsd

the standard driveshafts fit the nismo/cusco/torsen FRONT lsd

No, its in the transfer box.i have one and it came with a driveshaft but am sure when it was fitted they didn't need to use it.

nope it was an optional part.................rare as hens teeth.........and i have one too
