not sure if this is in the right section
as some of you know i now have a c20xe powered corsa
the other day i noticed a whinning noise from the box (f20) but only in 5th, it sounds like a supercharger lol, if i lift off the throttle it goes but comes back when you accelerate, it doesnt matter what speed either.....
i know there is a lot of mechanicly minded people on here and poss some ex cav gsi owners who could shed some light........................

u can take the end bit off the gear box and have a look at 5th gear or take the gear out of the box i have done 1 or 2
