Oil filter sandwhich plate

Does anyone know which port is the outlet and which is the inlet once plate is fitted please?

This is a plate from an oil cooler rather than just a sandwhich plate for extra sensors etc....I think they are different?
Anyways, I have an outlet (to cooler) then an inlet (from cooler) but not sure which one is what. Want to plumb in my Accusump with check valve 8)

yes i have but nothing on there. It would help if I knew where the oil came from pump, is it inside oil filter or from outer? (if that makes sense?)

Inner of filter is filtered return ... Should be easy to see which port is outlet & return by looking at plate ports & referring to filter flow.
