Oil Temp & Pressure Gauge Probs

I need to recalibrate my stock Oil Pressure and Oil Temp Gauges (needles back in wrong place after fitting white faces [:I] )

Does anyone now what voltages these run?
e.g. 0.5V = 4kg/cm etc

If so I can just stick a multi meter on the sensor or back of the gauge (whilst the engine's running) and stick the needle back on in the right place [:)]

Or any other suggestions to get these needles pointing in the right direction?

I'm currently showing off the dial on Pressure and under the dial on temp.... [:0]

Cheers in advance!!

Couldn't you just take the needle off, tun the ignition on but not start up and stick the needles back on to read 0?

Although that might not work on the oil temp gauge[:I]
oil temp sensor is 97-97ohms at 70degsC or 26-29ohms at 110degsC

Cheers Fast Guy....

Couple more questions
oil temp sensor is 97-97ohms at 70degsC or 26-29ohms at 110degsC
I assume it's a linear relationship [?]
e.g. 60ohms at 90degsC

Where is the oil temp sensor?

Do you know the details for the Water Temp sender (although I think I've fooked this one as the needle never moves [:I] )

Cheers

Water transmitter is 60degsC 70-90ohms approx
100degsC 21-24ohms approx

I don't know if it's linear or not, just quoting from the maunal.[:I]
Both sensors appear to be on the rear of the engine at the pulley end. Possibly somewhere above/around the oil filter? (educated guess)

oil sender u cant miss it, its the bell looking thing next to the oil filter and the water temp sender is the real beatch, its under the throttles, u might just be able to see if and if ur lucky reach it from under the car if the exhaust and driveshaft and oil filter are removed.

I'm doing oil and filter this weekend anyway so I can have a look-see.

As for the Water Temp, guess I'll measure the impedance at the dash end of the cabling [;)]

Cheers!!
