Peak boost and holding boost???

what exactly does it mean? :?

I don't wanna sound dumb or owt its just that I have std boost and it never drops or raises or anything if I boot it, it just stays at 0.65 right through the revs. does it only happen when you up the boost or summat?

Peak boost is the peak boost that a car runs... Holding boost is what boost the car holds throughout the rev range...

When you boot is... Some cars - depending on Boost Controller, Turbo Spec, Actuator plus a great number of other factors - hit a peak boost and then settles...

e.g boot the car, it hits 1.2bar and settles at 1.1bar...

Thanks though, that's cleared that up for me. So I guess it would affect cars runnin more boost more than me as I'm still on standard boost.
