There used to be a 10 post requirement, can't remember if it was in one section, before the forums were opened up to you. That was to stop spammers coming on and going wild. I don't know if it still applys, possibly it does.

Oh yeah, the other reason was to stop people turning up and scamming members by selling stuff, taking the cash not actually sending the items and disappearing again. It was to protect members as much as we could.
