Profec A Installation - Help me stop unlimited boost

As topic

BenD, Mikey & myself were trying to figure this out and i've just had a thought of what it could be but let me explain the saga

Ben's been helping me out today by fitting my dials & trying to install the profec a. We thought we had it sorted, seemed easy enough so off for a quick test drive. I took it easy on the loud pedal as i wasn't 100% sure about the wiring and how the self learning thing worked. I filled my pants as the boost gauge read 20psi

So i drive off boost to mikey's gaff and get him to look at it, after a few attemps to sort it, im still running unlimited boost - with ben trying to get me to rag it

The instructions are pretty pants and state that the controller need to be installed into....

1.) Intake Manifold - Easy
2.) Charge Pipe :?
3.) Actuator - Easy

Number 2 was a little confusing, where can we connect this to then :?:

Now its just struck me that it probably needs to to connect it to where my boost gauge is. Could someone confirm or correct me please.

The manual is here.... http://www.greddy.com/tech.asp

Is this correct??

this has a front mount but i doubt that makes any difference.

any help would be much appreciated :)

We have managed to run the 2 vac hoses from the profec to the actuator and the inlet, thru the pipe that runs underneath the left hand side of the top mount. i always thought the charge pipe was the pipe that carried the charge to the inlet, but correct me if im wrong. The 2 other outlets on the profec i cant figure out to put :?

:D If its the same as the Profec 'B' then it's for monitoring the boost pressure,so it usually goes in the vacum pipe on the back of fuel pressure regulator :D Hope this helps :!:

OK, anyone with a Profec A or installation knowledge, if you could spare a few minutes of your time i would be very grateful.

I'm really not sure where i should be installing it :(

1.) Intake Manifold - Should be T'd into the fuel pressure regulator vac hose but most people just T it into the hose from the boost pressure sensor.
2.) Charge Pipe - The hose that comes from under the plenum (the one that goes under the factory top mount) should be connected to this.
3.) Actuator - To the actuator.

It looks as though you are getting the Intake Manifold and Charge Pipe the wrong way around.
Hope this helps.
