You can buy a replacement ball joint from your local factors, It's the same as a primara one cost about £14, Or you can get nismo one from srb for £35, you will need to knock out the old one and press the new on in  .

Or you can buy the hole arm from nissan for about £160ish pounds  .

dude can you read your No plate from 30 yards.if so it passes

does the indicater emit white light,if so put an amber bulb in.

the rear bushes have to be MISSING to fail the mot.

as for the play in the joint this has to be excessive not slight.

i think that the only thing your R should fail on is the gaitor being split.

The number plate will fail if it's cracked  or not the official type set

Not sure about the bushes, but I've had a friends xr2 fail for play in the bushes :?

and I think wheel bearing play is ok if slight, so I can't see why the ball joint would be any different ie slight play should be ok.

To be honest, your mot tester does look abit strict. :(

not wishing to argue

however it states in my mot bible quite clearly that the plate has to be disfigerd enough so as to be un readable. if you can read it cracked or not it passes.trust me :D

if i may, could i tell you that if you present your car for a test and the No plate is made of cardboard and the digits all conform with size/type etc
then the car will pass the mot.

after the mot you drive your car on the road you will be prosecuted because your No plate will not conform with the road traffic act

now you know why so many testers give it all up.the mot is a farce
