Well its not broken as such, just really irritating.

The tappets/shims are beginning to get loud, and its sounding very Ford-ish, so its got to be repaired. I went down to Dalgleish Nissan and asked for a rough price, just as a guide. And they started rabbiting on about alot of shite, and then said they couldnt start the job unless i was sure as they would be charging £48 p/h for their labour and it could be in for ages.

I aint a mug, and surely its not gona cost me almost a grand for the repairs, i could probably get a replacement engine for the same, but i wana keep my power.

Please help, as im still new to the Nissan game. Im in scotland too if anyone has any recommendations

i just felt that it would be better for future reference to have it with Nissan Receipts

Get the parts from Nissan so you have receipts and get any good garage/tuner to get the work done.

I was told by Wakefield Nissan that there are 2 types (8 of each). 1 are about 8 quid each and 1 are about 25 quid each so your talking 300 just in parts.

I have learned to live with my noisey tappets!!
