hi,

i have bought a used quaife box.

1.) now after i´ve fit them into my car it makes noise in drive which the same as i drive back. is it correct that it is louder than originals?

2.) so than when i turn the 1. gear and let come the clutch (os giken) the car jerk and in all other gears it is a very good feeling...

anybody can tell me if it is all ok??

with labour, roughly how much is a quaife box fitted?

It could be as little as £1900 if your standard box is in mint condition or as much as £3000+ if you need all the parts replacing, Plus taking the old one out and re fitting will add another £300+.

So it's not a cheap buy fella and will probably cost more than most gtir's are worth these days  ...

why judders the box with the clutch??? have you a idea??

I'm guessing the lightened flywheel. Every car that I've had a lightened flywheel in has had a bit of clutch judder.

Perhaps I'm just a little unlucky.

yes i believe them.. so with the original gearbox the clutch and flywheel was ok and no judder. so after my clutch was in the teath damage i had a feel with judder it was the same as now. is it possible that the judder comes from diff too???

i don´t know where is the different between original gearbox and quaife box because the clutch i had used before too! there was no judder when i would start to drive..
