A question for you people! when i bought my car, it had a Mines ECU, hks SQV, some competition fuel pump, uprated sump (hks im told), orginally it was a jap track car.

I'm wondering if it had uprated internals. Like forged pistons etc. How would i be able to find this out without taking the engine apart too much?
It may be a silly question but i'd really like to know so i can get it setup to its full potential!

The best way would be to run 1.8 bar without adjusting the fueling, if the pistons don't end up in small pieces in your sump, then they're forged... :wink: :lol:

Nah, it's hard to tell, some pistons have markings on the top, so if you stick an endoscope down a plug hole you might be able to spot the marking. I seem to remember the standard ones have 54C on the top, but might be wrong.
