Quick sandwich plate ?

Going to put my oil cooler on sat now the sandwich plate has one side with a rubber ring on does that side mate up with filter or engine side, or does it not matter

on my mocal one, theres a seal side that went against the engine and the flat side provides a key for the seal on the oil filter you`ll put on

Yeah I will be going hand tight I think read someones Guide on hereabout dump pan removal , so should be ok with that

hand tight for the filter.

i nipped up my sandwich plate with a spanner. VERY carefully

the first filter i got with mine had an o ring seal. Leaked like a tarts knickers.
Got a filter with a flat seal, all good then.

got my filter and 6L of silkolene pro s but the guy has sent me a cossie filter (C89GA) it matches up to the sandwich plate but as its wider than the nissan one i think will it be no good or will it be ok to use , if not il have to go halford cos cant be arsed sending it back through ebay,
