rad is fooked!

my rad has just gone! it seem that water is leaking out of the top of the rad where it joins to the plastic edge.Is this common that the plastic edges give way from the core? or could the stat have gone and caused this??????? cheers nis

Yep its common for plastic tanks to split esp at the pint you mention

I paid £83 for a new rad had it on for a a couple of months been ok so far seems well made.

hiteq do a replacement for about 160 quid i think n good service too....mine went in the same place :shock:

My nice new 55mm alloy rad arrives from the states on monday cost me about £240, But if you had time to wait they do an all cooper rad twice as thick as the standard one for about £100 delivered + uk tax if it get's noticed .

The rad replacement i got was a thicker one but i have noticed no real difference on the water temperature after watching it on the commander.
