Random hose found, Help!!

Hi,

Please bear with me if this is a stupid question, i'm not that mechanically clued up, I just wondered if anyone could tell me what it is!!

I was fitting a air filter to my R last night and noticed a hose further down that didn't look as if it was attached to anything!! It was curved at the top, but the strange thing was it didnt appear to have any marks from a jubilee clip or anything and the end was smooth and looked new. I poked about and I think it was coming from the gearbox, some sort of breather pipe maybe :?

Any ideas guys, if it's a problem, I need to get it fixed!!

just make sure its pointing up and not down mate

This should be clipped under the right hand side of the intercooler frame - you'll see a little clip for it.

Just seen this reply, cheers again, i'll run outside at lunch and check, I seem to remember it was just sitting on top of the gearbox!
