Rattling Bonnet and Knocking Exhaust

I went out for a drive in my friends R the other day and noticed the hinges that hold the bonnet in place were rattling. After a closer look, it looks as the hinges need replacing. Is this a sraight forward swap or do you need to some gum or something. I say this because on my R and his there is some gum covering the hinges.

Another thing, the centre of the exhaust seems to be hitting the handbrake line ( i think). He has a mongoose. Anyone else had this problem and how do you rectify this?

Though i'd ask just to be on the safe side and I can't be bothered doing the bonnet twice . :oops:

The middle of the hinge where the bonnet pivots on, has a little play in it (if that makes sense). Another owner has had the exact same problem. Anyway, i'll try and post a pic up asap. :wink:
