do you need a wyde back tool to change the pads. Or can thay be done without it.

Yes you do, large mole grips etc might do the trick for you

I got pissed off when I did it and just went and bought the wind up tool, makes the job so easy.

I bought a brake winding block tool only it doesnt work well with the rear caliper pair of long nose pliers in the end did the trick and can be stiff if your changing seals as well just rip them out first makes the job a lot easier
