Hi All,

have been reading loads of threads trying to make up my mind on what piston rod comination to use. Looking to get between 400 and 500 horsepower may well be raising the rev limit as well.

I'm thinking Pauter rods as the concensus seems to be that these are the most reliable with HKS pistons so I don't get that agricultural slapping when the engine is cool.

I have to rebore, going for 87mm and am going for a 0.25 crank grind and balance and have ACL race bearings to stick back in.

Has anyone had experience with this combo or forsee any problems with it?

What's your bore size now?

If it's 86 then just go 86.5 so you'll still have one overbore.

Its 86 but has pretty bad scoring on the bore where the rings gave up. If I can go 86.5 I will.

Use Erics performance, they've had everything i've asked for in stock and posted it quickly too.
