match up the silver links in the timing chain with the marks on the pulleys, one each cam and one on crank, if you have the oil pump off, otherwise set No1 piston TDC, the dowel in the exhaust pulley at 12 o-clock and the timing mark on the inlet pulley 11 links from the timing mark on the exhaust pulley. remember to fit/release the tensioner and rotate the engine by hand then recheck before cranking the engine over.
