Is it hard to remove the top mounted intercooler and is there anything I should look out for when removing or refitting ?

Piece of p!ss to get off. Remove intercooler cover and then you'll see where the intercooler is bolted down.

However there are 2 small hoses that go sort of through the intercooler but not....if you know what i mean :?: one that connects at the top right by the rubber boost hose and one on the right hand side, its very important that you make sure these are back on when you put it all back together...

It's easy...

Remove the frame:
3 bolts on the left (one hidden slighty) and two on the right.

Remove intercooler:
Pull the two vaccum pipes off, one back right hand corner underneth the other is on the right hand side towards the back again underneth.
Loosen one of the circlips on both the front and back of the intercooler. (no need to undo all 4).
Then remove the 4 bolts that hold the intercooler down two and the front and two at the back.
Then just lift it off.

Refitting is the reverse of above.
DON'T FORGET THE REFIT THE TWO VACCUM PIPES!

(Extra Tip)
When refiting the 4 big bolts that hold the intercooler down you may find that they don't quite line up making the last one a real pain to put back. Best thing to do is to loosen the three bolts on the front of the frame behind the actuator you can then line the holes up easier to get them started and then tighten them all up.
