rough idle and black smoke

out in my R tonight and started to run lumpy,hesitate's when boost comes on but has lost power as well.when stopping at a stand still revs dropped to about 500 rpm's and was chugging out black smoke,then rev's settle again afterwards.can anyone help?

Sounds like you've popped a hose off mate

it does'nt idle rough all the time,surely it would cut out would'nt it if a hose popped off.

Nope, it would just run rough as nails.

Failing that, if you've had the rain we had tonight, check for water in your number 1 (well, all of them) . spark plug well
