Saab 9000 intercooler

Is it the Saab 9000 intercooler that people have used to upgrade their R'?

I was told to get one from a 2.3 Turbo saab and I presume this is it

I haven't heard of that one being used, but Evo and Syline intercoolers have been used.

Must be up to the job then. It's just I know someone who can make up all the pipework for it for maybe £80 or so plus another £40 for the IC

£120 for a full FMIC setup. Bargain!
