safe mode?

Hiya guys
my bros pulsar is spluttery at low revs like its running on 3 but at higher revs its fine he said then engine souded ticky aswell, theres lots of things it could be what is the best diagnostic kit to by i know he will need a lead and some sort of soft ware to get his laptop to speak with his std ecu what do you guys recomend?

Your best bet is to start with a fault code check, you don't need any special equipment for that.

As Paz says try the Fault Code check first as it will give you a good inducation of whats wrong...

ive got my engine check light on whilst im driving:x
ive just put the throttle bodies back on so maybe ive disturbed something
i tried to do a fault check and nothing happens:twisted:

i had to disconnect my engine check light cos it was flashing at me all the time! :roll: :roll: I hope I never need it! :lol:
