safe mode?

Typical symptoms (IIRC) are not revving past 4k and stuttering on boost. Normally disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes would reset the ECU, but if it's detecting a problem (do a fault code check) it'll go into limp mode again anyway.

According to the manual it's supposed to limit around 2400rpm.

Best way to take it out of that mode is to fix the fault. It doesn't tend to do it for no reason.

Theres also another safe mode if the det sensor picks up anything. No rev limit but the ecu retards the timing and if you were running standard boost and still have the boost solenoid plumbed in it'll drop it to 0.5 bar.

You only need to turn the ignition off to reset that one though ;-)
