Any one there this weekend?

I counted 6 R's in total :roll: 2 black, 2 red and 2 white

It was the 1st time on a drag strip for me.

My 1st run i got a reaction time 0f 0.218 :D then bogged down and missed a gear and did a 15.1

Had a few more shite runs including probably the slowest time for a pulsar ever,after missing 3rd gear then putting it straight into 5th i got 17.8 @ 56mph :oops:

Then it all came together for me at about 6pm when my girlfriend had a good old go at me and reminded me how to drive :lol: i managed a 13.3 @ 105mph.

Overall i was a bit dissapointed with my performance and realised 2 things.

1) I cant drive for shit and am no good with 3rd gear.

B) FMIC would come in handy when waiting to que up for 3 hours :roll:

i learnt the same things on my last rwyb day! lol! my launches were crap (slipped the clutch up a treat) and have now got my fmic on, so wont have that annoying prob of heat soak anymore!lol! :lol: thinking of wrapping the inlet pipe in heat tape too, seems a shame as theyre polished, but imo function is more important than bling! :lol: :wink:

Just trying to make Andy (Mr GTIR) feel a bit better about running 16's last week.

I think i hold the record for slowest R and most amount of fecked up gear changes into 3rd in one day :roll:

A mate of mine went in his Punto GT - was gonna with with him but didn't have the brass.

He said he recognised you from a previous meet (maybe Mascrat)... don't think he saw you run though!

Mark there was plenty of puntos there, think it was there national day or something :lol:

Was happy with the time after i saw what other times cars were running, RS200's doing 14secs, i saw a couple of pulsars doing 14's but they may have gone faster later on, i beat a drag spec Rover :roll: caterhams etc, im happy with my first time at Pod, but wanted to be in the 12's so badly, maybe next year.

I think i might just leave the pulsar at home and use me 1.2 nova :lol:

Do i win a prize for the slow time, i want a medal or a badge for my effort :lol:

i was there (black R). it was my first time at POD and first time launching a 4WD car. What is a normal time for a standard R with full interior?
