sealant?

hi all

you know the sealer that is used on the oil pump to block, sump and a few other places when building an engine........is there a version of nissans gasket sealant you can buy from say for example a motor factors, i know loctite do alot of sealants?

i think just normal instant gasket will do m8 its about 3 quid from most motor factors loctite also do a instant gasket but its a bit more expensive

nope u need very good sealer just use the stuff from nissan expensive but good, im a mechanic and tried all types of sealer and u get what u pay for and specially with a oil pump do u really want to remove it every 2 months trust me dont mess about get the good stuff.

I use Wynns Instant Gasket in a pressurised tin.Awesome stuff cant fault it.

Hermetite red is the same as the nissan stuff

thats what i was getting at, so its red hermetite that is the equivalent?
