Hi. Quick Question...Where is the best place to order shims for my engine??
Obviously I need to check which size I need but just wondering where is cheap & can get 'em ASAP....

Nissan are quickest... if they have them in stock

If they don't you can be waiting months!!!

I ended up going to decker in Germany to get some hand built.

I've got about 10 old ones and 3 new ones from when I recently re-shimmed. depends what size you need.

does the head have to come off to do this ??
what sort of gap should you have ??

How much did u pay?????

I'll check with nissan when I find a decent garage who know what they are on about....The local Nissan are "100% Sure" that the pulsar does not have Shims.........Tw4ts......

I cant remember how much i paid now but i know it wasnt a lot really. The engine parts dont seem to be too bad from nissan. I use the dealership in romford and they are quite good

can you pm me with their number as me and another 400bhp R are waiting for shims and at £320 for a set and 2 month wait it's taking the pi$$.

its not a head off job, i have a cam swap down to just under 2 hour's and thats running a top mount :D
