Should fans stay on when engine stops?

My fans work fine and all, coming on when they need to etc.

However, if say the fans are running when the engine is turned off, the fans will turn off too. Is this normal?

(my punto fans stay on or come on if need be after engine is off).

Bit sh*t that it does that.

Every other car I've owned the fan carries on, cool things down, the heat soak on our cars must be huge once fans/engine go off.

The only way they will stay on is via a relay through your Alarm or Turbo Timer...

Fans in my car don't stay on but if i've ragged the balls off my fiesta then they do come on after i have driven the car.

Must have been something wrong with mine so, and my Renault, and my old Peugeot, and my old Fiesta come to think of it. The fans wouldn't come on after the engine was turned off - thats true, but if they were running when the ignition was turned off then they'd stay running for a short while after.
