spark plug thread

Quick question guys. Is the spark plug thread 14mm (can't be bothered to go out in the rain and take one out of the car). I had a quick search but it didn't help either.

if you want to clean up the threads in your head just buy a spark plug chasser from an automotive store like brown bro's etc, this has both the pilsar thread and the bigger one for ford pintos and rover V8. i dont actually know the correct size and pitch

Cheers mate, I was going to permanently attach one of the ends onto my compression gauge, but couldn't remember what one it was so guessed last night at work. I guessed wrong though , I checked today, it's M14x1.25, I think I'll be hunting about tonight for the end I threw away :lol: :lol:
