still not revin right??

Hi all


I have been having rev problems for a while now. The car revs to about 4.5 some times less then it hesitates and wont rev any higher and pops and bangs and doesnt sound good at all.

i have changed the spark plugs, tomos im redoing the ignition timing hopfully if not it will be done tuesday.

i have done a fault code reading and it comes back as 12 air flow meter. althought before it never used to come up with any thing.

Did you check the earth to the AFM? Without meaning to sound like a broken record, if that's what the ECU thinks is wrong then it's a good place to start. - If you've cleared the codes and it comes back, then there's still something wrong in that circuit.

Failing that, check for a boost leak.

i have earthed it to the battary. how do i check for boost leaks?? and i am going to buy another afm from bob soon as i have the money
