strange noise

i have a ticking/ rattling noise coming from the intake chamber before the throttle boddies it sounds like a solenoid valve opening and closing very fast or like a loud injector, it has made this noise on and off since i had the gems ecu fitted 2 years ago. It does not seem to cause any problems but makes my car sound like a ford escort which is not good.

any ideas.

Have you got an apexi avc-r? They make a ticking noise.

No I don’t. I have not even got a boost solenoid valve at the moment. It seems to be coming from inside or right behind the plenum even with the engine off but the ignition on. so must be something electrical.
