Stupid Question...or is it???

I might make myself out to look as stupid as I look here, but could this be used instead of the factory item??

Also I've heard that the DET sensor can be mounted at the side of the block instead of in the original position, but I thought that it would have been there for a reason??

yes this can be used instead of the standard one but a bit of an over kill as you have to buy the piggy back unit aswell. My knock sensor failed and after a few teathing problems i have re-sited higher on the block and i was fortunate to but 2x second hand sensors from a skyline which were exactly the same and only cost £5 each
