subframe

Hi every body.

I'v just droped my rear axle and subframe so that I can strip it all
down and paint the bits and rust treat and paint the underside of my
R, It's a pretty easy job really only took about an hour I just droped
the lot in one go legs and everything 8), The worst bit's where fu*king
around with the hanbreak and ABS conection's.

It looks like I'll need new seals on the diff as it's leaking abit and
I broke a brake line but that was my foult because I didn't have
a brake line spanner :roll:.

When I put it back together I'll be fitting all the white line stuff I'v got
kicking about and new dust seals on my gabs as there all split, I can't make up my mind as to what colour to paint the susp bit's I think just
black what do you lot recon :?:.

As for tools to do the job :idea:, A big 1/2 braker bar is a must as some
of the bolts r very stiff , Apart from that your need 10,12,14,17,19 mm spanners/sockets and a brake line spanner ,trolly jack and axle stands and lot's of WD40 .

Yeah I forgot about red as for orange thats the only place for it
underneath where no one can see it :lol: .

And I can see Edd been playing around with the options again
just so we include his fav colour pink, pi55 off pansie boy :x :roll: .

Anyway I nearly have the floor all painted at the rear now .

I'v pulled the broken brake pipe out and it's gotta be 8 feet long :shock:
so anybody trying to take this off at the braided conection be very carefull
because it's a right b*stard to get to and that's with no engine in the car
so make sure you use only a proper brakepipe spanner to undo it
unlike me :roll: .

I also got a call today telling me that my gearbox/transbox will be back
tomorow all rebuilt at a cost of £564 :shock: :shock: .

Also got a call from UPS telling me my new turbo/clutch/injectors/rail and
headgasket will be hear tomorow from JGY :shock: 8) and the best bit was there only wanted £42 duty/vat :lol: .

Turbo nicely coated from JGY and the other bits too.

And my gearbox back from Berni's :lol: .
