TE37 / Wilwoods

Gentlemen,

I've been looking at new shoes for my girl, and I'm really into the thought of 16" bronze TE37s. However, it seems these are only available in with offsets 33 and 42 for the R.

They're also listed as 4x100/114.3. Does this mean that they have eight holes? As far as I know, this actually isn't road legal in norway. To make it even more complicated, you're not allowed to change offset by more than 7.5mm, so the ET33 wheels won't work since the OE offset is 42mm (iirc).

This leaves the 16x8" 4x100 ET 45 wheel, and I'm having serious doubts that these babies will fit over uprated brakes.

Any info or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I'm aware of the grids, yes :) I'll have to check with a dealer then, why they're listed with multiple pcd's on some wheels.

I've also looked at Takakaira, and Nengun for that matter. Think I'll have to talk to Nengun, the Takakaira crew are painfully slow. But they DO manage to give pretty informative answers when they apply butt to chair.

i think my offset are 35mm on my 15's or they could be 38mm. and have loads of clearence on my willwoods.

its more down the spoke design, i had some 17s that rubbed on my willwoods alittle.

my advice would be find someone with the wheels you would like and test fit them.

That's the problem, I don't think I've ever heard about anyone using these wheels here. I'm thinking that the spoke design on the TE37s would allow for some pretty huge brakes, even with a 42mm offset, but spending over £1000 on a set of wheels just to figure out later that they don't fit is a little.. well.. :)

Just out of curiosity, would you be able to check what offset you actually have, and measure what the clearance you have? The actual spokes should be pretty much the same even though the width and size of the wheel is different.

Pretty please? :)

i will have a look over the weekend, but im sure its 35mm, i can fit my little finger down in between the caliper and the spoke, and i have fat sausage like fingers.

just to confirm i dont have TE37's, i have some cheap happy shopper type wheels.

OE offset is listed as 38-40mm. Problem solved get the 33mm offset. That's what I have (not 35 as pm'd)

I'll have to check what it's registered for, should be in the paperwork somewhere. I had this idea that it's 42. Might be Mr. Adams' teachings that are rubbing off on me though.
I can go up or down by 7.5mm from the OE specification.

For the record, this is what Rota Grid's looked like.
16x7, 40mm offset, 4x100 only
The suspension was WAY too low on that picture, was just messing about.
