Top end rebuild

My brothers just picked an R up pretty cheap, due to the fact that the timing chain jumped a couple of teeth and the guy selling it couldn't afford to fix it.
He's looked into it and the hydraulic tensioner seems to be the problem.
He's now after parts for re - building the head valves etc and wondering where is the best place to get them from.
Also hes hoping to rebuild it and run it at around 350 bhp and wondering what is required to achieve a reliable 350 bhp. What parts to uprate etc.
Cheers:-D

Most people will say a standed lump will take that sort of power which it can, but i would stick a 1.2 metal headgasket in there and use arp rod bolts for that sort of power, and if the valves have damaged the pistons you may as well stick forged pistons in there aswell.

Ok cheers.
So to get this sort of power, what other uprgades would be needed, turbo, injectors, i think the car has had the basics done fuel pump and filter etc.
Also any idea where the best place is to get valves and everything else to rebuild the head

injectors would need the fuel pressure raising to get to 350 safely
turbo will be very pushed to make that power so a 2871 would be a better option
clutch will need uprating aswell
metal headgasket is worth doing while uve have it part aswell but tbh they dont go very often when standards are used

Ok cheers for the help.
But does no one know where the best place is to get a set of valves. He's been quoted £180 for the set of inlet valves and i think the exhaust valves were a lot more expensive. Or is this about the price you would expect to pay.

You might be better off buying a good used head than replacing all the original valves ?!

If you can get all the measurments for the valves, there must be a specialist or two out there that has something off the shelf. If not, Nissan will be your only option and as you've said, their prices arent very favourable.

Give www.mjpauto.com a try too as, they can get OE Nissan parts !
