Top Mounts as Front mounts??

how effective are the standard TMIC's when used as a FMIC? I presume that Nissan chose a core size which was capable of handling a reasonable amount of power, but roughly how much will the TMIC take?
the reason i ask is the TMIC could be a safe bet compared to buying in a new unit.

does anyone know the CFM of the top mount as there is a formula to calculate the power that it can handle? Ive got the formula, just need the CFM!

What's the formula?

the formula is:

1lb/min = 14/472 CFM
1lb/min = 9hp

therefore:

(hp/9)x14.472 = CFM or (14.472/9)xhp = CFM

14.472/9 = 1.608

so to find how much an intercooler can handle:

CFM/1.608 = hp.

hope this clears everything up a bit, although this is posted eleswhere on the forum.

I plan to mount the top mount in the front. Its a very good intercooler and it saves you money.
