Towing...

Might be a stupid question but will i be alright to tow my car?

I got told that you shouldn't tow 4x4's but that was when i wanted to Tow an Evo,
Dunno if there's any difference or weather it was just someone havin me on lol...

But yeah, Any reason's as to why i wouldn't be alright towing an 'R?

Cheers,

Mike.

i think you can tow it aslong as all four wheels are on the ground, but dont tow with the front wheels off the ground while the rears are moving coz it will damage your transfer box, think thats right, correct me if im wrong

you can tow them for a short distance and at a low speed ie 30mph.

years ago we towed one 30 miles at 60mph and it damaged the centre diff!(gearbox)

If you need to tow it a long way, I thought the procedure was to disconnect the prop shaft.
You can't really do anything with the front diff, so you'd have to put that on a dolly, or lift it off the ground... it's probably easier to put it on a trailer or a tilt-truck.
