turbo noise

hi all i fitted my turbo today which is full ball bearing i believe, when its idling though its quiet but give it a rev and you can hear a sort grating noise, only at standstill cant hear it in the car and when you turn her off you can hear the turbo whistling as it slows down, is this all normal for a ball bearing turbo, it goes like stink though 8) :twisted: and doesnt seem to have any problem while driving

it makes a tiny bit more sound than a standard bearing unit.
and its normal to hear it spin down for a moment after youve stopped the car. not for forever but a short moment
kinda fancy :lol: something more to make people start asking.
just say "its my new jet engine, nothing to worry about" :lol:

yeah its not long only about 20 seconds or so cheers mate thats put my mind at ease somewhat :lol:

mine keeps spinning for more like a minute before ya cant hear it anymore lol
