Both sizes are quite big, the 215/45 is 40mm taller than a standard wheel/tyre, the 205/45 is still 30mm taller. Added wheel weight, raised ride height of the car.
205/40/17 is more typical and is only 15mm taller than standard so shouldn't rub.
Just checked Tyreleader and this size would allow Michelin PS4 or Goodyear AS5 which are excellent street tyres. Lots of other too. Camskill has a few track tyres that could work if you want to go hard core.
