Urgent help please...

Right, just wiring up some speakers etc in my R and I'm working in the passenger seat, I have taken away all the plastic etc so I can get to the wires etc.

What is the metal box thing that is bolted to the bottom of the footwell behind plastic, is a large "scart" type cable next to it which plugs into it. Basically the thing didn't seem to be plugged in, I don't know if it should be or not? The car has had the ABS removed but the sensors stillr emain there so the light is always on in the dash.

Is it anything to do with that?

I wanted help ASAP hence putting there, I'm sure it was ok to stay there for all of half an hour.

But plugging it in is not messing with my car brakes at all?

As far I was aware the ABS had been removed but the "sensors" had been left, thats why the ABS light was on all the time.

Now I have plugged it in, the light is off, does this mean I have ABS back?!

Yes! If you want to make sure just do a brake test ;-) ;-)

This is in the wrong section so have just moved it.

In order to makre sure the ABS is not working just remove the fuse from the fuse box and also the light from your dash.

As Geoff has stated if the light is on for your MOT it will fail.
