Wastegate

Would a wastegate bolt straight up to the gtir? if not would would have to be done and also what sort of performance would i see?

Do you actually know what a wastegate does...? :?

A wastegate is a wastegate... Some turbos have internal wastegates and others need external ones... There is no performance gain... Its just part of a turbo setup...

A google search will help you understand more...

Im talking about an extenal wastegate i know it help the turbo with boost spike etc but i though it gives a gain in performance

If your internal wg can control boost well enough, why do you need another one? No gain imho.

No performance gain at all...

Plus to get a complete turbo setup with an external wastegate would cost you in the region of £3k+...

Turbo, Custom Manifold, Wastegate, Labour, etc....

Can give a performance gain just not at top end

But then again define the word performance, would heat management and longetivity come into it....
