Weight Reduction - Help pls.

Ok so ive stripped most of what i can think of:

Aircon, all its hoses, etc
Door trims
Seats
rear shelves, plastics and bits.
Center console
Carpet

Im now removing the sound deadening crap and its tuff as nails to remove. So im trying to get at it now with a heat gun and it comes off nicely. Only problem is it leaves a very dirty finish of very small smears of the crap that i cant remove easily.

Anyone thats done this before have any tips? Advice? I've only just started this and thought I would ask before i went any further.

Also what else can i remove to save some weight?
The car needs to be semi legal, so all lights and signals, the dashboard, etc are staying. But if there's anything ive missed or i dont know about that can be removed, please let me know.

Thanks heaps.

Don't bother with a heat gun, just chisel it off with a big hammer and decent chisel.

Takes no time at all and it stuff comes off in massive chunks

oh my god - hammer and chisel is sooooo much better. Some one told me years ago the a heat gun was needed, so thats how i started, but im almost done now with the chisel and its so much cleaner.

Thanks guys.
