WHAT MODS SHOULD I GET?

hi, iam new on here but hope to be on here alot, i have just bought a pulsar, it is on its way from japan, the thing is i have a spare £1200 to spend what is the best way to go about it? the car is standard. i was thinking:
exhaust
air filter
boost controller

what would you recommend?

An uprated fuel pump if you're going to run 1bar.
Mongoose exhaust seem to be one of the best, but are quite loud.
Apexi induction kit is one of the best kits.
Can't recommend the boost controller as I don't have one, only a dawes device.
If you do run 1bar, you will probably need new plugs.
You might end up needing a new clutch too.

If you've any money left, do a service, new oils, (eng, gearbox, diff, transfer box), change the fuel filter, new plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm, probably worth doing the brake/clutch fluid too if you don't know how long it's been in the system.

why don't you just tell him that you offer a cheap service close to essex

and yes, have you seen detaild pictures of the car as you may already have exhaust, air filter, boost controller.

But good service of all fluids, leads, dizzy, new fuel pump is good idea.
And if you have already got zorst, filter, boost control, then go for some uprated brakes, i'm sure you'll find someone who's up for the job of bleeding them :roll:

Keep your £1200 for repairs in the first month!!!! drive the car as it is for a couple of months then mod!

depends where you are in eseex abbey motorsport is close by, just the other side of the bridge, they are quite good, and silvia engineering are in maldon, mixed reports about them

uprated clutch and some decent stoppers are a must, also delimiting and changing to mph is quite a good idea, if the import company doesnt do it depends what comes on it as mike says, plus always remeber to run it on optimax or super unleaded

Don't know what you should buy but I do know that you'll LOVE it and if my son is anything to go by (he's 19) then you shouldn't have any problems pulling the chics, I've never seen so many girls round here before :roll:

mate theres a few of us nearby in sunny old bromley, 20 mins down the motorway and your there

i'd save the grand for the first months petrol and a good service (which you can easily do yourself).

As the guys say, see what condition the car is in first. Then go for brakes (standard ones are sh*te) and if you are planning on running 1bar or more you'll need a new clutch (the standard one will last a week if you're lucky!) There is no point spending your extra cash on more power only to have the clutch go and you have to shell out another grand to get it back on the road! If it were me I'd go for big brakes and get Mike (ex-gtir) to fit an uprated clutch for you. I'm assuming you have petrol/insurance covered. If not you spend that lot on those two! :shock:

Dont mod, always keep a grand for repairs if needed.
As for tuning, i wld recommend mike (ex-gtir)
Id also recommend Abbey but they arent that close, they are at bottom of m25 not just across the bridge.
You do however live close to mjpauto. He is the genius of all nissan parts.
He is in brentwood. He has a mechanic that works near him in brentwood who used to work on my car if u dont wish to travel that far. He is very good but dont ever be late!

Of the lot i would say mike first then the rest.

where is mike from nd is he expensive, a friend of mine said it cost him £600 for someone to supply and fit the clutch is this true? or can u get it done cheaper? what uprated clutch should i go for?

Depends on the clutch and the garage you use...

I use an HKS Ceramic Paddle Clutch with HKS Pressure Plate... Thats £540... Then very surprisingly the Nissan Dealer here in Aberdeen do the job for £235...

Basically fitting cost is always going to cost you about £250 - £300... Its the clutch kit itself that decides the majority of the cost... They can range from £200 - £2000...

i live near lakeside....thou stay AWAY from SE Nissan in Maldon if i was u..my mates had 8 engine rebuilds on his 200sx...all of which SE are accounted for and the car has a) been in that workshp more times over the past 2yrs than out..cost him £3k and always never on time....alot of 200sx owners and some 300sx have bad experiences with SE....
